True Conservative John Pistone to Wage a Write-in
Campaign for the 5th Congressional District of Connecticut
" I decided to pursue a write-in candidacy after being urged to do so by many of my supporters and citizens I met while campaigning throughout the 5th Congressional District. After hearing that I was denied ballot access, they urged me to continue to fight for them and run. Being denied ballot access is what I consider to be a slight to the integrity of the electoral process, especially since I submitted in excess of the required signatures. I could file a signature challenge recovery lawsuit but I'd rather put my faith and trust in the fine voters of the 5th Congressional District on Election Day. This experience has proven that Connecticut is not fair game for outsiders who challenge the political status quo. My preference is obviously, to be on the ballot, and I worked tirelessly to that end but was blocked by the unjust political power brokers. I think I speak on behalf of the people of Connecticut and all voters when I say "we are fed up with political games." So I am stepping up to offer Connecticut voters an alternate choice to the insider political incumbents. I believe that more choices will help shift the political power back to the people instead of the political elites. It's time to allow civic engagement to win out over political favoritism and give the people their voice back in the 5th District. If you are not satisfied with the current candidates, who either represent more of the same or depart deeply from our true conservative values, you have another choice. Fill in the oval, and write in Pistone. Know that I share your concerns and that together we can do this. Storm Thurmond did in South Carolina. Charlie Wilson did it in Ohio. Lisa Murkowski did it Alaska. Now it's time for us to do it in Connecticut and elect a write in candidate. You’re not alone when you write in Pistone. J.P.
